Gynaecology
The Gynaecology Specialty Delivery Group (SDG) was established to support, innovate and develop high quality gynaecology services across Scotland, reducing unwarranted variation, promoting a best-in-class and where appropriate once-for-Scotland approach.
The group is multi-disciplinary, including Gynaecologists, Operational Managers and Nursing staff, with appropriate nominated representation from all regional NHS Boards.
Typical agendas focus on:
- supporting adoption of proven processes, such as Active Clinical Referral Triage and discharge Patient Initiated Review,
- developing national pathways for high volume conditions,
- workforce,
- innovation, and
- measurement as a cross cutting theme to ensure the benefits are realised.
