Submit your carbon saving initiatives

Green Healthcare Scotland is committed to identifying, developing and supporting new carbon‑saving actions that reduce the environmental impact of healthcare across NHS Scotland. Many of the programme’s most impactful initiatives have originated from ideas developed locally by clinicians, Health Boards, suppliers and partners. Ideas may be at any stage of development, from early concepts to projects already being tested or implemented.

All submissions are reviewed by the Green Healthcare Scotland team and, where appropriate, progressed through the relevant national programme or Specialty Delivery Group for further development and potential adoption across NHS Scotland.

Contributions are welcome from those working within healthcare, as well as suppliers, academic partners and industry representatives. Sharing ideas can help shape future national carbon-saving actions and support NHS Scotland’s transition to more sustainable healthcare

Once submitted someone in the team will be in touch to discuss your proposal and provide support to develop your idea further.
